Step 3: Listen to hissing sounds. Check the seams first if there are any bursting seams that need to be mended. If you hear weird noises, you should check it immediately. If you cannot find the source of the leak, get a flimsy piece of tissue paper and run it on the surface of the mattress slowly. If something disturbs the tissue, then that could be the leaky part.
Step 4: If your mattress is submersible in water, you should inflate it and immerse it in water. Look for bubbles escaping and this is the leaky part. However, you should take it out immediately to prevent water from coming inside.
Step 5: Most air mattresses come with a mending kit. You should fix the leaky part. You can also use adhesive, glue or seal to fill up the holes. Once you have done so, test the mattress again for any sign of leaking.
Step 6: Now get a new mattress cover or topper. This should protect the mattress from future damages. While this mattress is cheaper than the others, you should still consider keeping it in top functioning so you can benefit from its versatility and convenience for a longer time.
